At the present, we are looking for:
Under the direction of the Program Director, the peer navigator is responsible for
conducting outreach and in-reach activities, assist with intakes and provide education to
GLCCB family members seeking services. The peer navigator also assists in the
coordination of appointments with service providers and conducts follow up with family
Assesses needs of family members seeking and accessing services.
Work with Breaking Bread Coordinator to connect family members to services.
Provides a wide range of community outreach, education, and risk reduction
Participates in health fairs, tabling and joint health activities with other community
Participate in training and support services.
Maintains strict confidentiality of all family member related information.
Support center staff with managing front desk, pride events, and cultural events
throughout the year as needed.
Must be flexible.
40 hours per week.
Some mornings, evenings and weekends.
High School diploma or G.E.D. minimum, BA is preferred. Years of practical work
experience can be substituted for education
Experience in case management with experience in community work.
Computer skills: Microsoft office, internet, email
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting
Must have awareness and commitment towards racial, sexual and gender justice
ASL and Spanish speakers are a plus
Position pays $35,000
